How to Create a Subdomain in Plesk

Creating subdomains is a great way to organize sections of your website (e.g., blog.yourdomain.com or shop.yourdomain.com). Here’s how to create one in your GetSiteUp hosting via Plesk:

✅ Step 1: Log in to Plesk

  • Go to your Plesk panel (e.g., https://yourdomain.com:8443)

  • Enter your username and password provided by GetSiteUp

✅ Step 2: Go to “Websites & Domains”

  • From the main dashboard, click on Websites & Domains

  • You’ll see a list of your hosted domains

✅ Step 3: Click “Add Subdomain”

  • Click the “Add Subdomain” button

  • In the Subdomain name field, enter your desired name (e.g., blog)

  • Select the domain you want to attach it to (e.g., yourdomain.com)

  • Set the document root (default is usually fine: httpdocs/blog)

✅ Step 4: Click “OK”

  • Plesk will automatically create the subdomain folder and configuration

  • You’ll see the subdomain added under your domain list

✅ Step 5: Upload Files or Install WordPress

  • Use the File Manager or Softaculous to install WordPress on your subdomain

  • Your subdomain (e.g., blog.yourdomain.com) is now ready to go live

🛡️ Bonus Tip: SSL & Security

  • Go to SSL/TLS Certificates and activate Let’s Encrypt for your subdomain

🎯 That’s It!

You now have a fully functional subdomain under your primary domain, ready for any project.
